L shoes and clutches!

Little Fashion Paintings

This is the result of a sudden desire to illustrate shoes. I went with Louboutin’s SS 2011 collection and got from his website the shoes that artistically appealed to me. The two clutches were added later, much to my regret because then I thought how they both lessened the power of Louboutin… I’m not sure though. And yes, a rather compulsory, unplanned background  color to conceal the messiness of my procedures haha. Ok. But turned out quite cool if I were to paste it as a cover collage over something, like my agenda or a scrapbook, what do you think?

I also didn’t feel like signing it because of what’s happening in there; didn’t feel natural.

The medium is oil, watercolor and ink.

Abbey Lee Kershaw

Fashion Illustrations, Little Fashion Paintings

… Some minutes before I go to class, I’m making sure I update my blog with an illustration I’m pretty glad to post! This is from a backstage photograph of Abbey Lee Kershaw before a Chanel Haute Couture S/S ’10, which comes to reminds us it’s a couple of seasons late , perhaps several of you have already seen it; but it was just too good to let it pass, and I utterly adore backstage pictures of models (especially where they don’t smile and pose and stare and…. high fashion hahaha) and have a very serious obsession with them right now, having this one caught my attention for her easy pose and graciousness.  So I decided to paint it I and really hope you like it. It looks somewhat better in real colors than it does here, that’s because scanning is not yet my trade, and Photoshop and adjustements…. well I increase vibrancy, color tones…  sometimes levels, brightness/contrast. I need help with photo retouching! Can I get some tips on that?

What do you think?

That Little Black Dress

Random

I am right now drinking a hot cup of coffee, reminding myself of several things to do before 8am tomorrow and how very tiresome tasks they are. But there’s always fun in here, and in order to dwell into very exquisite thoughts and fashion just before I hit the maths and preliminary sketches for architectural design, I am taking a minute or so of this lovely afternoon to post my version of the famous little black dress so that I can offer society just another example of how Madame Chanel twisted our lives. It’s simple and it’s layered, and the first layer is a see-through fabric so you can have a  glimpse of the girl’s legs. So that’s hot. And it’s black. I’m still considering if it’s that “little.”

Hope you like it.

More Old Sketches, only colored this time :D

Old Fashion Sketches

These are still old but sometime after the ones in the previous post. I still need to get better.

I’m actually looking for a scanner to properly digitalize the rest of the drawings because I hate the flash going on over some parts of the drawing and the other part being dark. And if I try to readjust brightness / contrast then some thing or other comes wrong so I don’t want that! Check out these in the meantime and please tell me what do you think? 😀 I know there are some very strange extremities but those will be fixed if I I ever get to practice everyday.
